Dealers are set to benefit from a new digital academy that will help them operate more efficiently and profitably.

The academy is operated by cap hpi and allows users to learn how to use the latest digital tools, share best practice and develop staff.

The content currently available within the portal is aimed at sales administrators who have to follow strict processes, which vary according to industry sector and manufacturer.

Shannon Gravestock, dealer revenue development manager at cap hpi, who is managing the academy commented: “Part of my role at cap hpi is to ensure dealerships are following the correct processes when running provenance and mileage checks. This new training portal introduces a modern and digital approach to doing this and allows dealerships to integrate it within their existing systems and in tune with their customer relationship programmes. We’ve had a great response to the service launch, so the appetite from dealerships is definitely there.

“The system has been designed to benefit the running of individual dealerships and to keep costs to a minimum, monitoring process to ensure staff are performing efficiently and within accepted guidelines.”

The software, from leading learning management system developer, Litmos, enables users of the service to benchmark against best practice methods and identify areas for improvement.  The package itself includes instructor-led training (ILT), learning paths, reports, dashboards and surveys and feedback. It is designed to grow and adapt in line with training needs.

Added Shannon: “This is an exciting development within cap hpi and is further evidence of our ongoing commitment to innovate with our customers firmly in mind. Our customers can then relay this to their own customers and grow their businesses accordingly. We also plan to use the academy as an internal training tool for staff across all sectors of the industry."
